Hongda, born in Hei Longjiang Province (the most northeast part of China), received his bachelor degree of Chemical Engineering in Central South University (Changsha, China) in June 2013. He started his Ph.D study in Chemisty at University of Alabama from August 2013. His undergraduate research focused on Polymer Solar Cells (advised by Prof. Yingping Zou) and Organometallic supramolecular self-assembly (advised by Prof. Pingshan Wang). Now, he is a member of the Rupar Research Group, with interest in synthesis of novel conjugated materials and their application for photovoltaics. In leisure time, he likes to travel, go running, listen music. Also, he is a really good cook of Chinese food!
